Missed it. Was about 102 right now here in Bishop, CA and there is a thunderstorm coming in. It's around 87 out side right now. I watered a little to the plants. I am glad to see my Roma Tomatoes coming in, almost red. I am the guy that had posted one time about planting in a dryer bin from seeds, they are coming in great. Tomatoes are growing in and the plants are growing. The black container is almost nice and red tomatoes (Roma), and the plant is finally growing some. The raised garden bed from using old scrape wood the Summer Set tomatoes, Wax Pepper and another pepper are coming in good, plant is growing and showing flowers coming in. I have a 5 gallon bucket with Hot Peppers and they are looking ok and the plant is growing. Thanks for always sharing good garden video's. I had 1 container / cooler of tomatoes, all tomatoes died in it. The whole plant turned brown and fell apart. But it's all good. Keep cool!

I'm growing a spacemaster cucumber in a container. The fruit doesn't turn dark green, and stays pale and even yellow on a large part of it. They don't taste good either. I live in inland San Diego, so there is plenty of sun and heat. It is in full sun, and I keep the soil moist and use a slow release fertilizer. Do you have any thoughts why the fruit doesn't ripen properly? Thanks, Lisa

I live out in the sticks so calling the city wasn’t an option for me. However the power company recently came through to clear all the right of ways for there power lines. As they were passing through my property I told them they could just dump them right there and pointed out the spot. I probably have about 16 cubic yards now.

I didn't create a garden this year. The temperature in Memphis has been intemperate. First, it got cold at night 50°F to 37°F. This happened all spring this year. Then we experienced multiple thunderstorms and whipping rain. And now we are experiencing heatwaves. This has happened for several years now. With this being the hottest on record. I have been here for almost 14 years. I can assure you that climate change is real. Recently found a possible solution, it's a cover that filters 50% sunlight" Hope to try again next year.

Yes, climate change is real. Our planet has always had it, even before mankind domesticated cattle. What we didn't have were thermometers and weather men/women. 😊

@Moon..Shadow but this time, we are coming upon Tipping Points. And it's absolutely connected to human beings and the addiction to fossil fuels. It's not just gasoline or oil lubricant. Crude iol becomes refined, and multiple products are made from resins. Anything that is plastic in your household started out a crude oil.

Here in eastern Canada, things are a little different because of the weather and short growing season of 3 months where a 5 gallon pot is plenty enough. I switched to growing my tomatoes in pots instead of the vegetable garden because we get extremely humid weather followed by violent crashing rainstorms that can damage tomatoes. A wet, rainy season will also spoil plants, cause disease and inhibit fruit production. So it all depends on your zone, location and weather conditions. Peppers and cucumbers handle this kind of weather far better but tomatoes really don't like to be wet all the time. So growing them in 5 gallon pots is perfect in my case as I'm able to control the amount of water they receive and keep them out of wet weather in a short growing season.

I thought i might be doing something wrong as to why most of my strawberry roots haven't grown, yet. Only 2 have given off fruit. It's too hot and I need to shade them. Thankfully I picked up shade cloth recently as the place I go to had them on sale. The temp here is now close to 100 and we still have July and August, when it gets hotter. Thank you.
